Consumer Sites

OVERVIEW
I was the Lead Designer on these four consumer facing sites, working closely with multiple Product Managers, Translators, a Compliance Supervisor and multiple Developers.
It was my role to bring a design thinking approach to this project and implement the best path to purchase for our consumers.
All three websites brought record breaking product sales and were then used as templates for other subsidiaries.
PAINT PROTECTION FILM
In this website I created three different experiences that targeted our personas. The owner experience had a more consumer friendly design with lots of visuals explaining benefits of the product. The dealership experience focused on the top frequently asked questions on what the product was, pricing, installation and how to purchase. And finally the installer experience focused on the installer resources for the product.
On top of designing the consumer experiences I also did the renderings for the product imagery as before the only product image was the transparent roll. Which you can imagine did not show up well online and frustrated customers as they couldn’t visualize the wrap on a vehicle.
With these changes the user engagement was estimated to increase as well as our online sales.
SCOTCHGARD
I designed multiple types of navigation to aid all types of customers. By need or by product. After the website had been launched our team saw an increased interaction with the visual selector, which helps customers navigate to the product they need to use for protecting their surface.
Our user research also found customers were hesitant to purchase a product, as they didn’t know how to use it. I wanted to solve this problem by introducing “How To” pages that walk the customers through the application process with simple steps and an application video.
With placing a strong focus on the customer journey, we were able to create an effortless path to purchase.
SOLAR & SECURITY FILM
I was tasked with creating the webpages for the new product 3M Window Films. Because there were so many different types of products in this line we wanted to have users easily navigate to the products that met their need. With the home page we made sure to call out the two distinguishing lines, Commercial and Residential, as well as having the option to search by their specific need.
